foot painFoot pain can affect all areas of your life—making it difficult or impossible for you to work, perform daily tasks, participate in recreational or sporting activities, and prevent you from keeping up with family and friends.

Northeast Foot Care is here to get you back to the active and full life you deserve. The first step to a pain-free life is an evaluation with David Lambarski, DPM. Dr. Lambarski is Northeast Foot Care’s founder and a double board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon who has developed CryoCare: a revolutionary technique to treat chronic and acute foot and ankle pain.

Dr. Lambarski will review your medical history, perform a physical examination and evaluate diagnostic imaging, if necessary to determine the cause of your foot pain. All treatment options will be discussed in depth, to make sure you are aware of advantages and disadvantages.

If you are a good candidate for CryoCare, you can schedule another appointment to come back for this one-time treatment option.

What is CryoCare?

Dr. Lambarski developed the CryoCare technique that is based on a practice in Ancient Greece where ice was used to reduce pain and inflammation. While using freezing temperatures was originally used to freeze painful nerves, the technique has evolved over time. There are now centers devoted to using cryotherapy to speed recovery and help injuries heal faster throughout the body. What’s more, we now utilize super-cooled gas directly on painful nerves, joints, and tendons to freeze away pain. The FDA has even approved CryoCare to treat plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and painful neuromas.

CryoCare is a simple yet very precise procedure performed right in our office. By combining multiple medical advances, Dr. Lambarski can specifically freeze the exact area of your pain at a very controlled temperature. Using high resolution color ultrasound imaging, Dr. Lambarski will locate the painful site and guide the cryoprobe directly onto it to freeze away the pain. This procedure is superior to cortisone injections that fail to accurately pinpoint the target tissue.

The CryoCare procedure has little to no side effects. There is no need for stitches, postoperative rehabilitation or pain medication other than Tylenol or an ice pack for the first 1-2 days following the procedure. Your recovery will be immediate: you can walk out of our office wearing your own shoes, and you can be on your feet for normal activities. It is recommended, however, to avoid running or engaging in high impact activities for the first 48 hours.

Dr. Lambarski has performed over 3,000 CryoCare procedures over the last 12 years. Make an appointment with him to be evaluated and to discuss whether CryoCare can be used to treat your foot pain. If you are traveling a long distance for your appointment, our scheduling personnel can reserve extra time if you are interested in CryoCare and your diagnosis and history indicates that you are a good candidate for it.
